Philliber Research Associates has been involved in several minority and special education programs:

The Beginning With Children School serves African-American and Latino elementary school students in the Bronx. The school provided extended day and year round programs. Philliber Research Associates tracks achievement of students and monitors changes in school climate.

The East Harlem School at Exodus House educates middle-school students in East Harlem. The majority of students are African-American while the remainder are Latino. Philliber Research Associates tracks achievement while in middle-school.

The Future Leaders Institute educates African-American elementary school students in Harlem. Philliber Research Associates tracks achievement of students.

The Heritage School is located at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center and collaborates with the Center to provide high school students with a variety of cultural experiences. Students are Latino or African-American. Philliber Research Associates tracks student achievement and high school graduation.

Nativity Mission Center provides an education for middle-school Latino boys in Lower Manhattan. Philliber Research Associates tracks achievement while in middle-school and after graduation through college graduation. Findings are published in Journal of Education for Students Placed At Risk, 8 (2003): 419-428

REACH Charter School served elementary school students, targeting students with special needs. One in five students had diagnosed learning disabilities and a third had at least one special need. Instead of grouping students by grades, higher performing students in a lower grade were in classes with lower performing students from a higher grade. This placed higher performing students in a more challenging environment while lower performing students were in classes where they could continue to learn. Philliber Research Associates has tracked achievement of students.

Thurgood Marshall Academy serves African-American and Latino students in grades seven through twelve. Philliber Research Associates is tracking student achievement, high school graduation, and college entrance.
