Laura Foss joined Philliber Research Associates as a Data Analyst in 2006. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University at Albany and a Master of Arts in Sociology degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Prior to her arrival at PRA, Laura spent ten years working directly with children and families involved in the child welfare system. Laura’s “frontline” experience provides her with an understanding and knowledge that enhances her evaluations and her appreciation of programs and clients. Since joining PRA, Laura has been involved in the evaluation of several teen pregnancy programs, after-school programs, and a large neighborhood revitalization effort in Ohio. She is especially interested in issues related to child welfare – including family preservation, foster care reform, and the treatment of children and families who have experienced trauma.
